- Business Start-ups, Turnarounds and Transformation: Launched an IT Consultancy and enabled it to thrive in a highly competitive market place. Expanded offerings from consulting to systems/software implementation and support addressing the needs of Medical Practice Management. Marketed, sold, modified and supported a practice management system utilized by 41 physicians’ offices in 12 states. Established Limestone County Commission’s (LCC) first formal IT department.
- Organizational Development and Systems Implementations: Planned, installed, and maintained LCC’s first Exchange email server, Domain Controller, VoIP phone system, and Internet security appliance now supporting 450 employees in 17 different locations, and created the County Computer Use policies, Security Policies and Procedures, and Continuity of Operations Plan. Hired, trained, developed and managed the IT organization that made this possible.
- Systems Implementations and Infrastructure Development Created Physical servers in 15 locations requiring updates and maintenance with little to no remote assistance capability. Framed and wrote the System Requirements documents for Network Hardware, Security Appliances, Servers, Storage systems, and implemntations. Created central data center complete with Cisco Network Hardware, EMC Storage and VM Virtualization software at the county EMA location to effectively provide a robust network with no additional human resources required.
- Process Improvement and Innovation: Improved communications between numerous LCC facilities. Replaced an outdated T1 with a new Dark Fiber cabling installation that markedly improved communications between facilities and lowered operating costs. Connected 14 county locations, six city locations, all city schools, a new local state-of-the-art library, and the local university. Applied for and secured grants that funded this $1.7M strategic initiative.

Brought on to drive improvement in IT Infrastructure, Service Delivery and Telecommunications supporting LCC operations following earlier service to the organization working under the auspices of an IT Consultancy.
Served as trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Commission, elected officials, and Department Directors on technology development and implementation focused on improving service delivery to Limestone County service citizens. Ensured alignment of IT investments with organizational objectives while enhancing scalability, lowering cost and optimizing information flows.
Planned and directed all hiring, IT work force and project scheduling while serving as the driving force in the continuing professional development for those working in the IT department. Managed relations with and efforts of contractors, vendors, and other external resources.
- Organizational Development: Established the organization’s first formal IT function. Developed all related policies and procedures as well as the IT organization and the annual budget.
- Business Transformation: Transformed the organization into a highly efficient organization by spearheading improvements in communication, networking and infrastructure including Fiber Optic cable installation, Telecom and network enhancement and infrastructure virtualization.
